My first reaction out of the box was how small they were. If you’re going to buy these, I think you need to get out a measuring tape and do a reality check on how big these things actually are. I anticipated something bigger. That was not these. I’ve never seen a real life candle in this size. They look like a childs version of the real thing. gary

While I’ve seen other flameless candles in store, I never saw these very sweet, petite candles. Only downside they take a circular battery, not an AAAA or AAA. But really lovely size and realistic. karen

I set these candles on a candelabra in my fireplace. They are stunning, have a better glow then the real candles which were previously in the fireplace. I don’t need to worry about candle wax or other problems related to real candles.  piper

I bought a huge amount of these candles for a Candle-light Advent program back in December. Unlike the cheap tea-light candles, these beauties really look real and when grouped together the flicker effect is mesmerizing and extremely life-like. The audience couldn’t even tell the difference between the 3 dozen Gerson candles and 3 or 4 real candles I used.  john

What people talks?

I really like the look of this product but when I lit the lamp, the flame was way too high. I had pulled the coil down as far as possible but the coil would unravel which caused a large flame. I wanted them for the deck posts but I’m too afraid they will start the deck on fire. The other issue is they are very hard to put out. I tried blowing and using a snuffer. I would recommend the company put caps with chains like tiki torches have. I still like the item.  amanda

I shopped around for this type of item and these are great for the price. They are large and solidly built, and the wick holders are fantastic at keeping the wicks from falling into the candle. Also, you get 3 extra wicks and wick holders, which is a great thing by itself. I’ve only used them twice so far but they worked great. The flame is high, but you can always adjust the amount of wick that is exposed. Filling them is a cinch, and they hold a good amount of oil. The one thing I will note is that I have not left them outside, so I don’t know how they would handle weather.  santangelo

I like the look of these lamps, though the color of the shades is not white or off white as it appears to be on the computer, but rather a tan color. That was a little disappointing to me, but they still look nice and will still work with my decor. They were fast and easy to assemble and add a nice touch to the living room.
My biggest dissappointment was to find out that one of the table lamps was cracked through the middle and has a chip out of one corner on the base. I looked into returning just the broken lamp, but because it was sold as a combo lamp pack you have to send the whole thing back which means repackaging everything. That proves to be more trouble than it is worth. If you’ve ever tried refolding and repackaging a couch slip cover so it will fit back in its tiny, little bag you know the kind of trouble I’m talking about. Or if you’ve taken apart a power tool and spent the rest of the day trying to put it back together properly you get the picture. Since the lamp does have a decent solid center inside the broken exterior and the electrical parts still work, I decided to try and fix it myself. Bondo and brown paint. Once it is fixed i will be pleased with the set. My advice to any purchasers of this product would be to try and examine the lamps as much as possible before removing them from their plastic bags and foam cradles so that if you find damage you can more easily return the whole kit. johnson

I have purchased two other lamp sets, of different brands but similar prices, from Amazon, and this set is by far the cheapest looking. The floor lamp leans to the side and is unusable. They are all made out of a lightweight resin that are painted poorly, showing thick brush marks of brown and gold, which are supposed to imitate wood grain but doesn’t. Their only redeeming quality are the light beige, not white like the online photo, shades. pozdol

I loved this set because I was able to get two end tables, a floor lamp and the desk lamp to sit on my computer desk all for $88. I was more suprised when I found out the lamp shades were beige instead of white the way the picture made them look. My living color scheme is brown, black and beige so they went perfectly with my living room. johnson

This set of lamps looks very nice and the price point is excellent for a 4-piece set. When I received the first shipment I discovered that the base of one of the lamps was snapped in half, and assumed that it was the result of mediocre packaging (lamps are suspended in styrofoam, but there is no styrofoam “lid” between open area and packing box. Amazon very quickly replaced without any problem. The second set arrived and I got everything put together before I noticed that another of the lamps was snapped (at the top near the light fixture). I got to looking closely at the lamps and realized that though these have a very nice exterior they are made of some sort of resin-like material. They appear to be cast and then painted to look like wood or metal. Had I known that was what they were made of, I probably would not have purchased them. I did not return the second set because I already had everything put together and the break in the resin is in an insignificant place (under the lamp shade), but I think it worth mentioning since both shipments arrived that way. Good price, nice looking, but material they are made of is apparently very fragile. gadberry

I bought these lamps for a rental house, so was attracted by their colonial look and low price. I wasn’t looking for family heirlooms. They were time consuming to unpack, and the stem of one broke as I removed it from the packing, and there were minor chips in the bases of all 3. These couldn’t have happened when I removed them from their styrofoam. They are inexpensively made, and the bases are soft and chip easily. As the rental house is on and island, and returning them would have required carting them back off the island– I settled for 3 serviceable lamps. They look nice, and fit in with my colonial cottage. I don’t expect them to survive more than a season or two of renters, but they will suffice for now. I think I will raise my price point for their replacements.  holby

After looking at lamps in different stores and at different sites I ordered these. I was impressed with the fact that the set came with four instead of the usual three.  capolino

The lamps are wonderful! They match my decor and are very good quality. The only problem is that the new energy efficient lightbulbs do not fit in these lamps. kay
